Well Iam a beginner.. and my doubt is if I concentrate on foot work.. i miss the lead and push ( the movement of hands) or Viceversa...
1) how to get the co-ordination right ?
2) Dancing with the same partner helps ? As I have noticed , diff partners have diff pace in steps or the movement..

>> 1) how to get the co-ordination right ?
Practice your footwork alone (solo). Concentrate on maintaining the weight transfer - very important! Try to do the solo footwork with slow beat music, or count yourself and follow.
Proceed with the partner dance, practice. If you miss the footwork, practice again - you'll get it!

>> 2) Dancing with the same partner helps ?
It only helps you to get comfortable with specific partner and confident dancing with her/him. Dancing with different partner is recommended!

the only way to do better is to practice...

practising with one specific partner may loosen u up a bit...u mite be confident...but ull have trouble dancing with others...so i recommend you change partners instead of sticking 2 one.. Very Happy
