Salsa Nights
Hey guys ,
I was hearing that salsa nights would be re-starting soon ... was just hoping if someone had any idea when are they starting and where they will be held...i attended only one of them and was learning my basics then so couldnt dance though was relishing a dance once i learnt a few moves...so was really eager to know if and when they re - starting
thanks

Where are all the salsa nights??
Where does everyone go for salsa dancing?
We should all set one day every week to go salsa dancing...we all know that the only way to become good salsa dancers is through practice...so this way we can become better dancers AND have lots of fun and make new friends

Re: Salsa Nights
I am open to any day in the week for Salsa Night! But it should be between Andheri to Bandra stretch. Lower Parel is too far for most of the guys (since mostly are from Andheri class only!)

Re: Salsa Nights
yo ! lets not get into geographic and traffic issues , salsa is at night !!!. But yes , i totally agree with sangita , we must practise , and i even added a section for that . getting out at night in a friendly group would be great ..
but one suggestion I have is if we can have a day a month for just practise , since what we need is an ac hall , music and people ...

Hi Guys and Gals
All those who are interested in Salsa Night to happen in QuickStep I have a plan that can really work but you all have to take permission from Anand and then give me 3 names of a choosen Leader from all three centers, who will be able to manage the entire procedure.
Am out of town or I could handel it. its very easy if your heart and soul is longing for Salsa Night then get up guys start working am here to help you out.

Re: Salsa Nights
thats nice, I dont know where do Salsa night takes place usually.
What I was talking about Salsa Night was a private party only for quickstep students and not the general crowd.

Re: Salsa Nights
i totally agree with Kai , an exclusive quickstep party ... so the shy ones can also be on the floor ... clubs can be intimidating

Re: Salsa Nights
As of now non of us is expert in Salsa, I dont mean dont go to Offical Salsa Night parties etc. I just mean when everyone is taking about Salsa Night then why dont we organise one wherein everyone will be feesable to come and have a ball coz u dont have to bother whether ur dancing good or bad, u just have to enjoy.
Even if Salsa Nights r going on in a pub among all 100 % members only 15 to 20% will turn up, then whts the use of that.
It should be private and should give space to everyone to enjoy.
Thanks Samird for agreeing with me

Re: Salsa Nights
but ... this discussion is just going round in circles ... it is clear that everyone wants a party .. but arranging it has serious practical difficulties .. ie place , permissions , arrangements , initial finances etc.. this is where an organisation can help .. maybe the quickstep admin ... obviously we are all happy to contribute .

Re: Salsa Nights
No its not that hard, I had twice organized Hukka party with Arabic theme on a roof top in the month of November n December, and the climate was perfect for it. It was a good contribution of a group of 25 people, where in a small amount of liquior was brought and then the members of this group brought in their own drinks and Hukka flavours. All cusions were laid on the floor with white bedsheet over it.
a wide range of buffet dinner along with starters and Arabic Music to dance.
Same way we can organize the hukka party without being trouble to Quickstep. Three people with leadership qualities should agree to handle all this and then for sure it will be a rocking Salsa Night for Quickstep and its Students. Samird find a good leader in ur center.
