that song by Guantanamera by Celia Cruz.. simply love dat song.. execellent for beginners.. slow beats but makes its difficult to resist dancing on dat song..

Yes i think dats a very gud idea.. though i'm not sure about copyright and piracy/illegal music download issues etc.
Infact thats why i started this thread to get atleast the names of tracks... and let the individuals themselves find means to get those songs..

(for me atleast everything is fair in love, war and getting a song from the net!! )

I think Quickstep CDs hav some gr8 songs... true u may not find all the songs that much good for now.. but gradually as u keep listening to more salsa music u will develop your own taste and liking for salsa music.. for starting(i being a newcomer myself) u can download the songs listed above in this thread... i will keep this thread updated with new finds... u can also do the same if u discover any other track with great music.

like moderator ashish said .. pls dont say cd 6, track 2 etc..because many ppl dont understand.. also there are many ppl on this forum not from our school.. so to keep it general for everyone lets use the track name..

now some of u may say that u dont know the track name. yes, that could be a problem. how about if i suggest this. let this forum have a "music expert", and may i suggest arindam bose for this, (if he is ready)... send him a request with the cd and track number by private message and he could give us the name after finding out.. he is good at it..

oh ya, no problem for me. given a full song, like the ones on cds from class, winamp (winamp.com) can identify (in a good number of cases) the name of the track (playlist->view file info->auto tag), altho if the source is noisy/not complete (as in video clips), the trackid thing on a sony ericsson phone does a better job. so the tagging of songs from cds and mp3s can be handled by playing them on winamp and if someone wants to know the name of a song from some other source and does not have access to a se phone, please create a thread for such requests and post the link on the forum, i (or anyone with that app on their phones) can periodically chk and see if their phone is able to identify the name.
