Today's session...!!!
A BIG Hello to all of you on the forum......just wanted to give a brief feedback on today's session.....Anand and the new lady instructor really set the dance floor on fire (as usual) with their out of the world performances......but what I really liked about today's session in particular was that all the combinations actually involved a lot of basic step.....which otherwise got camouflaged or say mixed up with the spot-turns or other gyrating movements (for guys) taught in earlier sessions.......so I guess we (or say me specifically) actually lose on doing our basic step.......so as a student it is just my humble suggestion to the instructors that if we can do combinations (like the one we did today).....involving a lot of "clear-cut" basic steps without any camouflaging with too many spot turns.....Moreover the session was made all the more interesting and informative when the lady instructor actually taught me the easier way to hold your partners' hand while giving her a spin...or leading her for a cross-body lead.....and many more valuable inputs while dancing.....coz most of the times both the partners get so engrossed in their own moves that they don't actually pay much heed to what the other partner expects out of you......like most of the times the ladies keep their hands too stiff to actually give them a spin or as a matter of fact giving yourself a spot-turn......(same applies to guys too)...these are some of my experiences which I actually face during every session...and i am trying to practice and get better session-by-session.....one more thing..just wanted to know whats the secret of doing a good spot turn without feeling giddy.....????
