2009 - a BIG year

2009 will be a big year for QuickstepSalsa..

Starting with this forum which i will revive, and new course content and schedules and new DVDs and music and events and clothing line and much much more

your participation is very crucial in this..

One of the main requirements of this forum now is to be streamlined and solid in its content generation.. i am hence deleting many unrelated posts and am going to start posting many important articles and posts about salsa..i urge other members to do the same..

There will be many changes

Small talk section is gone - my view is - come here to talk dance. simple.
games section is gone - again i want this forum to be a serious dance forum. there are hundreds of gaming sites out there.
moderator/admin rights will be reconsidered based on their accessibility and committment.
meaningless threads will be deleted..
member sections could be merged with other sections if they dont contribute/generate enough content to be worthy of the home page

am sorry if these changes upset anyone. At the end of the day, i want this to be a serious meaningful information portal for salsa, and it has been a long time that it has not been that.

Regarding the new course content, I attended the first class taken by Anand this year and he came up with the combination then and there which I think was quiet interesting, and we were told every class will be a new combination. So every class will be a surprise unlike earlier where we had our course content sheet and atleast we knew this is what we have to learn !
I hope this is how it will be in future as well...
And really looking forward to new DVDs and music and events and clothing line

I think it is great that we will now be learning a new combination every class...this allows us to grow as dancers. I'm excited and looking forward to learning something new every time now

We enjoyed the New start. Valuable as it blends a few combos and give room to experiment as well.

When I first replied to this thread, reagrding the course content I had written:

I hope this is how it will be in future as well...

And Im happy this is what is being practised now..we are learning totally different and new combinations in each class..there is so much varitaion
